The award-winning National Music Centre is a 160,000 sf home for music in Canada and is dedicated to developing and sharing a love of music. At a cost of $168 million, construction began in early 2013.
Calgary’s iconic new National Music Centre presented PICCO with a unique opportunity to devise innovative solutions for terracotta facades and light gauge steel design. Using twisted steel studs and splice transition zones allowed us to engineer an exquisite execution for the architect’s stunning design. Re-branded Studio Bell, the NMC was completed in the spring of 2016.
