Mike Picco voted onto the Marble Institute of America’s Board of Directors
Concord, ON – November 23, 2015 – PICCO Engineering’s President and Founder, Michael Picco, has been voted onto the MIA’s Board of Directors. As announced by MIA Executive Vice President & CEO, Jim Hieb, Mike was selected to represent Zone 8 (Canada) for a 5 year term (2016-2020). Mike brings to the Board over 30 years of stone industry expertise including almost 25 years as President of PICCO Engineering. Mike has been an active supporter and contributor of the MIA over the years and currently co-chairs the Toronto Chapter of the MIA.
For over 70 years, the Marble Institute of America (MIA) has served as the authoritative source of information on standards of natural stone workmanship and practice and the suitable application of natural stone products. Membership in the MIA is worldwide and includes nearly 2000 natural stone producers, exporters/importers, distributors/wholesalers, fabricators, finishers, installers, and industry suppliers – all committed to the highest standards of workmanship and ethics.
