To say that there was nothing usual about this project for PICCO's stone engineering team is a vast understatement. With no single piece of stone identical to the next, it involved a special anchoring design for the open, unsealed joints, while integral glazing systems challenged constructability.
The Jerusalem Limestone facade required fully-detailed fabrication drawings
and steel struts and heavy gauge connections for the large cavity space. This distinctive building owes its acclaim and many awards, in part, to the innovative and inspiring facade that defines it.
